Meniano was crowned Miss Catbalogan 2004

CATBALOGAN, Samar   - With a gusty night and before a jam-packed audience, video cameras and some mediamen coming from Tacloban City, candidate no. 4 Ma. Cyndi Therese H. Meniano, was crowned Miss Catbalogan 2004 on August 5, 2004 in the outdoor Municipal Plaza of this municipality.

The newly crowned beauty queen is a high school student of the Samar National High School and the daughter of Juan Meniano and Neria Horcasitas who are both government employees.

The first runner-up was candidate no. 5 Phoebe Ann S. Estrada who was also named Miss Photogenic and the Best in Gown award. The second runner-up was candidate no. 1 Karen J. Samson who was also named Miss Epiderm A.

Other finalists were candidate no. 7 Maureen Donaire Lonzaga who was also named Miss Bambini and candidate no. 8 Audrey Rose Barrios.

For winning the title, Ms. Meniano received a cash award of P20,000.00 courtesy of Mayor Coefredo T. Uy plus trophy and a sash and bouquet. She was also named Miss Coke Lite and Miss Globe where she received a cellphone kit from Globe Philippines. She also won the Best in Production Attire and Best in Swimsuit minor awards.

First runner-up Ms. Estrada received a cash prize of P8,000.00 plus a sash and bouquet while second runner-up Ms. Samson got a P5,000.00 cash prize plus a sash and bouquet.

            The Miss Talent minor award was won by candidate no. 2 Joanna F. Majait with a cash prize of P500, a plaque plus a sash and bouquet.

The pageant night was hosted by renowned TV-host and journalist Chito dela Torre and Ms. Nimfa Sol Muñoz and was also covered for television by Decobeam Cable TV Services, Inc.
